ABOUT OLUWAKEMI
Oluwakemi -Kemi Ikotun- is a dynamic Singer-songwriter and a highly driven, energetic and passionate Praise and Worship leader in the UK gospel circuit. She is also an ordained minister in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Born in Lagos Nigeria, Oluwakemi has been a worship leader from her youth. She was a lead vocalist with the Zion Voices band, Lagos in the early ‘90s alongside Festival of Life Music Director Tunji Dairo. She served as Choir leader/MD in RCCG Rose of Sharon Lagos (1996 - 2003), and later RCCG PoJ, London (2004 - 2007). She is currently a member of the ministerial team of RCCG Power of Jehovah, Woolwich, London.
As a gospel minister, Oluwakemi has been positively influencing audiences for many years with her brand of energetic and passionate ministration. She strongly believe that she has a duty to present hope, encouragement, fulfilment and true love -she considers music to be a platform to communicate such hope, encouragement, fulfilment and true love. She often says that her goal is to influence society using the talent that God has deposited in her to lift up the name of Jesus higher and higher, thereby drawing people to God.
Oluwakemi has been privileged to share the same platform with several renowned gospel ministers including Dr. Panam Percy Paul, Lionel Peterson, Lester Lewis, Muyiwa of Riversongz, Mike Aremu, Sonnie Badu and Pastor Kunle Ajayi amongst others.
Oluwakemi lives in London with her husband, Adeniran and their 3 children –Anit, Raque and Jo.
